Dawn M. Donnelly, M.A., LPC
I have been working in the mental health field since 2006. I received my Master of Arts in Counseling from Fordham University in New York and received my LPC at Montclair State University in New Jersey.
My therapeutic approach embodies psychodynamic and holistic strategies. I am fully committed to my clients and their therapeutic goals. I provide a warm and supportive environment while encouraging and gently challenging my clients when necessary. Aside from talk therapy I integrate creative techniques like drumming and therapeutic games when needed. I am able to form a trusting and open relationship with my clients from the start of our relationship and give them the support and confidence they need to terminate successfully when that time comes.
I have worked with individuals struggling with depression, PTSD, anxiety, self-esteem, intimacy, career challenges, relationship issues, weight/health concerns and substance abuse. I am also skilled to work with individuals that have had a severe personality disorder as well as a chronic mental illness and LGBTQ related challenges. Over the past year and a half, I have started to integrate EMDR into my practice. I have a great passion for people and guiding them “to live their best life.”
