Elizabeth Yerger is a graduate of Temple University where she obtained her B.S. in Communication Studies. She is currently completing her M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Houston Baptist University. Upon graduating from her master’s program, her goal is to become a Licensed Clinical Child Psychologist in the state of Texas. She is currently practicing under the supervision of Brianna Roberts, M.A., LPC.
Elizabeth’s passionate about being a part of the mental health field and helping support others. She takes a collaborative approach walking with others through the healing journey of their therapeutic process. Elizabeth’s counseling interests are to work with individuals, couples, and adolescents dealing with family of origin & attachment issues, difficulties in adjusting to change, relationship issues. behavioral changes, trauma, anxiety & depression, as well as spiritual counseling.
Elizabeth’s approach is client centered in order to form a strong therapeutic alliance. It is her mission to cultivate and foster a safe, trustworthy, and open environment. Elizabeth views each client as unique and keeps the needs of the client in mind at all times while simultaneously using various approaches that stem from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, Play therapy, and Person-Centered techniques. She champions her clients to face the obstacles that life throws may throw their way.
