Katie S. Floeck, M.Ed., LPC is licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Katie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas A&M University and her Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Houston – Victoria. Following graduation from UHV, Katie completed the required 3000 hour internship under the supervision of
Kimberly L. Boyd., M.S., LPC-S.
Katie provides counseling for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families struggling with anxiety, depression, physical and emotional abuse, career choices, interpersonal relationships and life transitions. Katie earned experience as a practicum and intern student in both the non-profit and educational settings. She has co-lead counseling support groups for women who have endured physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, and individually lead a healthy relationship group for teens. In the educational setting, Katie worked with adolescents in Houston area schools focusing on social skills, study skills, time management, and college and career planning. In addition, Katie has completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
Through active participation in each therapy session, Katie strives to create a safe and supportive environment in which she can help clients work towards a better understanding of their own emotions and desires while striving to achieve established personal goals. Katie works with clients of all faiths and backgrounds.
