• Kendall Tarbet, Graduate Student Intern

    Kendall has a passion for working with families, couples, individuals, and adolescents. Her focus is on person-centered counseling along with cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy. Person-centered therapy is internally focused on the client and that everyone can make a change. As a counselor, she wants to be there on your journey and believes that she can be that resource. However, the client has a responsibility as well to work with the counselor to make that change. 

    Kendall is a leasing agent at an apartment complex but has gained experience through a mentorship program while in her undergraduate career. This mentorship at a local low socioeconomic middle school, sparked her passion to want to make a change in the world and be able to help those around her. 

    Kendall is a graduate student at Lamar University, completing a in Marriage Couples and Family counseling in May of 2023. Kendall earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a minor in human development and family studies in 2020 from the University of Houston, Main Campus. Kendall is a part of the American Counseling Association. She has also been invited to join the Honor Society at Lamar University.
