Meredith Jimenez Bowman, M.Ed., LPC, NCC is licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Licensed Professional Counselors. Meredith received her Bachelor of Science degree in Family Life and Child Development in the University of the Philippines in 1998 and earned her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in Lamar University in 2017. She completed her graduate training at Family Time Crisis Counseling Center in Dayton under the supervision of Kimberly L. Boyd, M.S., LPC-S.
Meredith enjoys working with adults, children, and adolescents. She has had experience working with individuals who have issues with depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, interpersonal problems, and low self-esteem. In addition, Meredith has experience working with non-profit organizations in Texas and has been working with adults with severe mental health disorders in Harris County.
Meredith utilizes a person-centered approach with her clients. She would like her clients to be able to express themselves comfortably as well as to collaborate with her in order to achieve their individual goals. She provides cognitive-behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, motivational interviewing, and play therapy techniques depending on what best fits her clients’ needs.
