• Michelle Cerda, Graduate Student Intern

    Michelle is a graduate student intern at the University of Houston-Clear Lake pursuing a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Michelle earned her Bachelor of Art degree in Psychology at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She is currently practicing under the supervision of Maggie Chlebana, M.S., LPC.

    Michelle provides counseling services to persons of all ages, from adults to children, struggling with mental health concerns. Areas of focus include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationships, trauma, and behavioral issues. She strives to create a collaborative and therapeutic environment to help work towards the client’s goals and greater understanding of their presenting concerns. Michelle tailors her approach to meet the client’s specific needs, which includes solution-focused, narrative, and cognitive behavioral therapies. She takes a strengths-based perspective and believes in empowering clients to facilitate positive growth.
