• Nubia Forero, Graduate Student Intern Supervised by Brianna Roberts, M.A., LPC

    Nubia is a graduate student at Texas Tech University pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She intends to become a Licensed Professional Counselor upon graduation. Nubia obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from University of Houston-Main Campus. She is a student member in good standing with the American Counseling Association. Nubia is currently practicing under the supervision of Brianna Roberts, M.A., LPC

    Her counseling approach and techniques are a combination of Person-centered theory and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, in order to best fit the needs of her clients. Nubia believes in creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment for each client she meets with. She is open to working with individuals of all ages, couples, and families.

    Nubia was born in Colombia and raised in Ecuador giving her the experience of working with diverse populations. She is bilingual and prepared to help meet her clients within their cultural worldview.
